How Socks Are Made

Welt Top Construction
The top of our Moretz Sports socks have a special, double layer to make them be more durable, look sharper and stay up longer.
Ribbing
We knit these vertical ridges (or wales) into Moretz Sports socks specifically to give them elasticity.
Boot Area
We use flat-knit construction here to reduce bulk and to conform to your foot's shape so the socks won't bunch up uncomfortably over the ankle.
Fully Reciprocated Heel
This piece is key to making sure your socks maintain a comfortable fit even while you move. Our reciprocated heel is specially knit in a semi-circular pattern to guarantee a flexible fit.
Footbed or Sole
The sole is the most important part of any sock. Moretz Sports socks give you double cushioning to prevent foot fatigue and to absorb shock. We use different density cushioning depending on the activity.
Arch
In many Moretz Sports socks, you'll find a special Lycra® Spandex arch support which helps to reduce foot fatigue.
Reciprocated Toe
Same as the reciprocated heel only on the frnt of the foot.
